These guys are ones to watch. Kyoto quartet Nabowa have been garnering a fair amount of buzz recently – not least amongst their fellow musicians – and this year looks set to be the one in which they become an established name on the circuit: they're playing the Field of Heaven stage at Fuji Rock in the run-up to the release of new album Duo in September. The group's intricate instrumental jams are the product of virtuoso technique, but they're lent an extra emotional heft by violinist Hiraku Yamamoto. Catch them as they wrap up their current tour, with singer Aco and steel drummer Gen Tamura (of Little Tempo fame) as special guests.
