Ken Ishii's second City Triangle party had been scheduled to take place on March 11, but for obvious reasons that never happened. Think of this one as Vol.02, Volume 2: the cast is different, but the song remains pretty much the same. Ishii has invited two key figures from the Detroit club scene who rival him in longevity, if not necessarily commercial clout: Claude Young Jr. (who seems to spend all his time in Tokyo these days) and Rick 'Big Daddy' Wade. While Young taps into the classic Detroit techno sound, Wade is more associated with deep house, much of which he releases on his own Harmonie Park label. Rounding out the bill is another Motor City mainstay: Abdul Qadim Haqq, resident artist for the Underground Resistance collective, who'll be doing live painting during the night.
