This month's bass worship session at Unit was originally supposed to be headlined by Goldie, but radiation fears forced the King of Jungle to pull out. It's been left to Silkie to hold down the fort, which might not be such a bad thing: the West London producer and DJ is one of the most consistently interesting forces in the dubstep scene, forever wriggling free of the stylistic orthodoxies of the genre. Added bonus: no Goldie means it'll be cheaper to get in, too. Local support comes from Unit regulars including Yama a.k.a. Sahib and Tetsuji Tanaka, the latter flaunting his DJ skills with an ambitious four-turntable set.
