Koyasan Cafe in Marunouchi 2015

Fri Aug 28 - Sun Sep 6, 2015 Marunouchi House

Time Out says

The World Heritage-designated Mount Koya range in Wakayama Prefecture is known as the religious centre of Shingon Buddhism, and has in recent years become a popular getaway for tourists on the hunt for peace, quiet and a traditional experience. For a little preview of what's in store if you do decide to make the pilgrimage, check out this collaborative pop-up café taking over the Marunouchi House restaurant zone with delicious shojin ryori (vegetarian cuisine eaten by monks) and equally healthy 'shojin sweets'. You can also try your hand at sutra-copying (daily 11am-5pm on the outdoor terrace) and catch some live chanting (Aug 28 and Sep 6 from 6pm) – the official website (in Japanese only) has the full details.
