Barely 21 and hailing from a village of 40 inhabitants, silk-voiced Icelandic balladeer Ásgeir Trausti strikes an ethereal, melancholic tone in his songs, without ever descending into nonsensical pathos (we're looking at you, Sigur Rós). Having made quite an impression with his debut album In Silence (or Dýrð í dauðaþögn – yes, we copy-pasted that), he now extends his first-ever solo tour to Tokyo in January. We're already itching to see how his fragile but mystically powerful songs translate to live.
