In 1953, Vittorio and Lucia Tortorano opened Japan’s first gelato shop in Minami-Aoyama. The couple came from a distinguished line of purveyors to the Italian royal family, and Gelateria la Napoli offers an opportunity to taste gelato made according to the traditional methods cultivated over the many years of their long history. In addition to popular favourites like vanilla and matcha, special seasonal flavours are offered, including grape in summer and chestnut in autumn.
