Onkashishi Shiono

Founded in 1947 in Akasaka, this Japanese confectionary shop prepares a monthly selection of 10 confections reflecting the seasonal tastes, mostly based on sweet bean paste (namagashi). This shop makes prodigious use of yellow an bean paste among other vivid colours. In addition, Shiono also offers daifuku style rice cakes and dorayaki pancake-sandwich-like bean paste sweets that are also worth trying.
