When you're looking for a lively night out in Shibuya that won't bankrupt you, this sixth-floor izakaya near the station's east exit is always a safe bet. Fashioned in the vein of other budget izakaya chains like Domadoma, Bucchigiri serves beers and Japanese-style pub grub at low, low prices: most of the stuff on the menu costs under ¥300. Start with a round of whisky highballs or Suntory Premium Malts beer (both ¥294), then get to work on the menu of kushiyaki and yakitori grilled skewers, fried noodles and beef motsu-nikomi stew (at ¥514, practically the most expensive thing on offer).
Transport Shibuya Station (Yamanote, Shonan-Shinjuku, Fukutoshin, Tokyu Toyoko, Keio Inokashira, Ginza, Hanzomon lines)
