Hidden away in the quiet backstreets of Akasaka, stands Wakiya – a Chinese restaurant opened by Yuji Wakiya, known also as the executive chef at Turandot Yusenkyo. The dishes feature specially selected seasonal ingredients bringing customers Chinese food that not only tastes good, but is also good for them. From starters to dessert, the dinner course brings together a harmony of the five tastes (sweet, bitter, salty, sour and savoury). The restaurants wish is in its name – one meal, everyday, of good food and tea to soothe the body.
