This sanuki udon restaurant was opened in West Shinjuku by Kazutoshi Tao, chief of an udon aficionado club, and columnist Masahiko Katsuya. Since it opened, it has been constantly bustling with hungry udon fans who fill the space with boisterous voices. The noodles here are handmade in-house by expert noodle makers from Kagawa, where the dish originates. The restaurant is self-service, so you pay as soon as you have chosen your udon, topping and side dish, and there are numerous options allowing you to create your own favourite version of sanuki udon. The restaurant stays open till late at night.
