Review

La Matiere is a modern French restaurant located in alley in Kagurazaka. Since the restaurant was opened in 2006, it is very busy and is sometimes booked for two months in advance. Although there is only about 20 seats, the tables are well spaced out, so you can enjoy your meal comfortably. Portions are generous. Dishes such as ratatouille with Edo sea eel fritter fragranced with ginger and lemon or anchovy-flavoured seafood tartare salad are arranged creatively on plates, and customers have been known to break into cheers when they are served!
