Review

An offshoot of Ikebukuro's famed Taishoken, Hyouri upholds tradition under the railway tracks at Suidobashi Station. The herb- and pork-based soup here is known as uma-kara (a combination of spiciness and umami), and is served with both ramen and tsukemen. Their most popular dish is the 'Ankake DX', a type of ramen topped with cabbage and karaage chicken pieces that makes for an addictive combination. Make sure to mix in some rice with the leftover soup for a filling finish.
