Review

Located right by Asakusa's off-track betting halls, this pub is easily recognised by the vats of slowly simmering stew out front. Beef tendons are boiled down to small, bite-sized pieces, and the sweet-and-sour soy sauce broth upholds traditions admirably. Find a seat by the C-shaped counter and you'll be treated to side dishes piled high on large platters, with the fellow behind the grilling booth serving up barbecued squid and skewers of grilled eel liver (just go ahead, tastes far better than it sounds!). If your tastes skew toward something more substantial, try ordering your stew with a side of raw egg over rice - mix it all together for a delicious Asakusa fast food experience.
