Good Days Malasada (Hikarie branch)

Imagine a doughnut without the hole or filling, and you've got a malasada – a Portuguese sweet that was imported to Hawaii in the late 19th century and has since become a staple there. Since 2010, you've been able to get them at Good Days Malasada, whose original shop in Omotesando has now been joined by branches in Nakameguro, Kichijoji and Shibuya. The latter can be found on the seventh floor of the Hikarie building, where it abuts onto the Aloha Table restaurant. Doughnuts are cooked to order and available with plain, coconut or cinnamon sugar. Just don't make the mistake that many other customers do: this is one treat that's best eaten fresh.
