Ikebukuro: Sapporo Ushitei Minami-Ikebukuro

This is the Ikebukuro branch of Ushitei, which has been a favourite of Sapporo residents for 30 years. The hamurgs are 100 per cent beef, with no thickeners, and the delicious texture of the dish served rare has made it particularly popular. You can choose from two sauces to compliment your hamburg, both made from a secret recipe: the Sapporo classic sauce and the Ikebukuro demi-glace sauce. When you place your order, first you’ll have to choose the size and how you would like your hamburg cooked (from rare to well-done). Then you’ll be asked to choose the size of your serving of rice, and if you’d like any of the extra toppings, like a fried egg or deep-fried chicken (100 yen each).
