Bombast is second nature for Kamelot, in town for the first time in six years and with a new vocalist, Tommy Karevik. The Florida power-metal band's symphonic goth-thrash embraces a cheesy-fun sense of pageantry – like a cross between Ronnie James Dio (RIP) and Andrew Lloyd Webber. Speaking of cheesy fun, homegrown ‘girl metal band’ Cyntia set the stage.
