Time Out says

Forget the sprawling bazaar-style art fairs of old, where the volume of works on display and the haphazard nature of their presentation tends to overwhelm all but the most hardened industry insiders. When it started in 2010, G-Tokyo offered an alternative that was instantly appealing: a small group of just 15 galleries, each presenting specially commissioned work, either by a single artist or a carefully curated project. The fourth edition changes the formula slightly, moving the action to Tokyo Midtown and slightly upping the number of exhibitors. Look out for contributions by some of the city's most cherished art spaces, including Tomio Koyama Gallery, Hiromiyoshii Roppongi and Wako Works of Art, and solo shows by artists ranging from Yayoi Kusama to Matthew Darbyshire. In a smart bit of timing, the event now coincides with Roppongi Art Night, and will stay open until midnight on Saturday.
