Nothing like a bit of cherry blossom to make you want to dance all afternoon, eh? The annual Harukaze party welcomes the coming of hanami season with two days of free music in Yoyogi Park, complemented by market stalls, NGO booths and vendors selling hippy-friendly food and drink. Look out for appearances from touring US act Moon Duo, reggae singer Likkle Mai, formidable taiko drumming troupe Gocoo and heavyweight local DJs including Numanoid aka DJ Tsuyoshi, DJ Nobu and Bryan Burton-Lewis. And if you like a bit of politics with your partying, the event is raising awareness for a variety of causes, including clean energy and the plight of children in Fukushima. See the timetable on the website for details.
