Time Out says

The story goes that Eli Moore looked up Ashley Eriksson while he was in California, based on a musician pal's recommendation, and the pair started recording together within a few minutes of meeting each other. Now happily married, the couple form the core of Olympia, Washington indie band Lake, who cite influences ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Arthur Russell to '70s Ethiopian pop. Moore and Eriksson have been bringing the show to Japan this month as part of local indie imprint 7 e.p.'s protracted 10th anniversary celebrations, sharing a tourbus with Tokyo-based baroque pop ensemble 4 Bonjour’s Parties.
