Modern Jazz Discotheque Shinjuku

Sat Jul 28, 2012 Shinjuku Pit Inn
Naruyoshi Kikuchi

Time Out says

Saxophonist and Date Course Pentagon Royal Garden bandleader Naruyoshi Kikuchi will be leaving his horn at home when he heads to Pit Inn this Saturday. The veteran scenester is flexing his DJ chops instead, in a late-night session that harks back to the days when jazz featured heavily in the Billboard charts. The Modern Jazz Discotheque also features sets from rare groove DJ Hiroko Otsuka (a regular at Shibuya club The Room) and Kemono, a new-ish band consisting of sultry vocalist/guitarist Ame, pianist Mamoru Ishida, bassist Ryoji Orihara and drummer Shun Ishiwaka.
