Food featuring Nils Petter Molvaer

Thu Apr 19, 2012 Shinjuku Pit Inn

Time Out says

British saxophonist Iain Ballamy and Norwegian drummer Thomas Strønen, the duo who comprise Food, navigate the terrain between jazz and electronica better than almost anyone else. The pair were originally due to come to Japan last April, accompanied by trumpeter Nils Petter Molvaer, but the tour was shelved in the wake of March 11. One year on, they're finally making it over here, with extra improv support from Hikashu vocalist Koichi Makigami – and hopefully they'll treat audiences to a taste of their upcoming album for ECM, the label which released 2010's Quiet Inlet.
