Time Out says

As one half of Night Slugs, the club night and label that he started with fellow producer Bok Bok, L-Vis 1990 must be one of the most respected figures on the British bass scene – that tough-to-peg strain of dance music that draws on elements of UK garage, funky house, dubstep and hip hop. His attempts to drag things in a poppier direction on last year's Neon Dreams met with lukewarm reviews in the UK, but will probably go down better with a Tokyo audience – and L-Vis 1990 will certainly be in good company at Air this weekend, where he appears alongside local electro duo The Lowbrows.
