Time Out says

Since moving to New York in the early '80s, guitarist and singer-songwriter Brandon Ross has distinguished himself as one of the most historically and politically conscious figures on the city's jazz scene, whether he's exploring folk traditions in Blazing Beauty or going off on a pan-African psych excursion with power trio Harriet Tubman. For his current Japan tour, he's reprising his For Living Lovers acoustic duo with NYC-resident bassist Stomu Takeishi, plus added support from versatile drummer Yasuhiro Yoshigaki, of Rovo and Altered States fame.
