Summer Penguin Festival at Kotori Café

Bird café Kotori, which operates branches in both Kichijoji and Omotesando, is marking the end of summer with one last splash of cool air from Antarctica. Over the last weekend of August, their menu turns into a celebration of penguins, with cute character curry (in Kichijoji only) and bird-shaped sweets served all day long. In addition, there'll be sales of penguin-related arts and crafts, while both cafés are also home to around 25 live parakeets and other small birds, which have been trained to hang out with latte-sipping customers.
