For an idea of where contemporary Japanese painting is headed in the future, look no further than this three-artist display at Ginza's Shiseido Gallery. Featuring the cutting-edge work of Minako Abe, Midori Sato and Manika Nagare, all fast-rising talents taking the traditional field in new directions, 'Embracing for Painting' is free and consists of two parts, with all exhibits switched up in between the sections. Make sure to look out for Abe's captivating reinterpretations of landscape photographs, Sato's free-flowing fashion- and plant-themed work, and the abstract, technically advanced meditations of Nagare.
