Peter Barakan's Live Magic!

Sun Oct 25 - Mon Oct 26, 2015 Yebisu The Garden Hall

Time Out says

Radio DJ Peter Barakan's excellent morning show may have been axed by InterFM last year, but that sure doesn't seem to have slowed the man down: in addition to still hosting several other shows, including Barakan Beat every Sunday evening, he set up his very own music fest last year. Live Magic! now returns for its sophomore edition with a packed mix of classic rock, soul, jazz, world music and more, served up by the likes of Cuban chantuesse Daymé Arocena, Australian singer Gurrumul (who, by the way, works in the Yolngu language) and Mongolian pioneer Delehei, plus domestic talent in the form of Tin Pan, OK Dub Ainu Band, Yuji Hamaguchi and company. Check out the full lineup here, and make sure to get your tickets well in advance. Highly recommended for anyone on the hunt for fresh musical experiences.
