As the title suggests, this event looks at the connecting power of art, including the forging of ties between genres and the ability of art to strengthen communities, through a variety of talks and seminars. Art Bridge Institute, one of the host organisations, performs research and carries out local ‘bridge-building’ projects in order to connect people with each other. Art Bridge’s Chihiro Minato and Yoshiaki Kaihatsu will join a range of guest speakers for the talks, while Kaihatsu will also brief the audience on his ‘Tama ni Juku’ artist research project that’s been going on since June.
