Lite

When this instrumental quartet hooked up with Chicago heavyweight John McEntire to record their 2010 mini-album, Illuminate, it couldn't have felt more appropriate. Though Lite's early material showed a clear infatuation with the math-rock dexterity of Battles, they've since drifted closer to the musical orbit of McEntire's most famous bands, Tortoise and The Sea and Cake. The 2011 album For All the Innocence incorporated keyboards and a newfound jazziness, while their latest release Installation marked a step in a more complete, refined direction. This Liquidroom gig will see Lite team up with American post-hardcore outfit Tera Melos.
