Review

There are other Nepalese places around town, but none in the same league as Khumbila, housed in a quirky building by oddball local architect Hideo Horikawa. Whether you order the Indian-accented curries or the Tibetan-style momo dumplings, it’s all carefully adapted to suit Japanese tastes. Non-smokers enjoy a floor to themselves, but the best seats in the house are at the top, sitting on the floor under the dome-like roof.
