A couple of floors here are devoted to the history of the variety of noodle that has become a national obsession in Japan, but the main attraction is the nine ramen shops in the basement. Each shop sells a different style of ramen, ranging from Sapporo ramen (miso-based soup) from the north, to Hakata ramen (pork- and chicken-based soup) from the south. Highly recommended is the miso ramen at Sumire - the shop with the longest queue.
