The shop is divided into menswear and womenswear (with a slight skew to the ladies) and there’s a vintage section where you’ll find old lacy numbers, embroidered antique dresses and summery floral accessories. If you’re the sort who enjoys the thrill of wading through moth-eaten jumpers and nylon shirts in pursuit of that elusive bargain, then Haight & Ashbury might not be for you. This is a high-class operation, and all the good stuff is on display; new items arrive daily, and are carefully selected by professional buyers who keep up to date with the latest trends. Slick doesn’t mean snobbish, though – the staff are particularly friendly and keen to help you find that perfect outfit.
