Golden Egg

Clubs, Music

Review

The Golden Egg is not your standard live house; no nice lights or sound people on hand. Never the less, the owner gives a warm welcome from the otherwise seedy streets of downtown Kabukicho. The setting feels like a cross between a '50s American cafe and somebody's living room. Being situated on the 2BF makes it almost feel womb-like, too. With the sofas sitauted near the stage, you can really relax and focus more on the music, less on the show. Well located for Shinjuku station travellers, drinks come at 500 yen standard, making for a relatively cheap night out.
