Review

Run by local drinks company Suntory, this two-space venue is used mainly for orchestral concerts and recitals. The huge, Austrian-made pipe organ is the most striking visual feature of the Large Hall, giving it an almost church-like appearance. The acoustics are superb, with legendary conductor Herbert von Karajan describing the place as ‘truly a jewel box of sound’. Soloists and chamber groups appear in the Small Hall.
