Review

Established by chef Shuichi Sakurai, who trained in France and formerly worked at Pâtisserie Madu, this petit western-style pastry box opened along Setagaya-dori in 2003. Hoping to create a friendly atmosphere that people would come to love, Sakurai named the shop Fraoula, the Greek word for strawberry – a fruit that just about everyone adores. Popular items here include cakes made with succulent chunks of real fruit and their own original soft ice cream – available as both takeaway and eat-in.
