New openings

Review

New openers right outside Hiroo Station, Aloha Farm are putting all their eggs in one basket with an exclusive focus on Hawaiian-style spam musubi, i.e. a grilled slab of the notorious meat-like product slapped on top of a rice ball and tied up with nori. The menu also includes versions topped with fried chicken, black beans, umeboshi, fried fish cakes and more, while Kona coffee is both served for takeout and sold in bean form. The shop has a small eat-in space, but you'll do better getting your spam to go and heading for nearby Arisugawa Park to enjoy it. With Tokyoites' appetite for all things Hawaiian showing no signs of weakening, this one just might become a hit.
