Review

Kyorakutei is a homemade soba (buckwheat noodle) restaurant with counter seating. Two-coloured soba (with two kinds of soba: 100 per cent buckwheat soba with al dente texture, and 90 per cent buckwheat/ten per cent flour soba) is popular. The restaurant has variety of dishes that go well with alcohol, including tempura with seasonal vegetables, grilled sea eel and horse sashimi. It also has wide range of Japanese sake and locally brewed sake. Another speciality dish here is beef gristle curry soup with udon or soba noodle. This curry has more than 20 kinds of spices, vegetables, and fruits and the beef gristle, with its high collagen content, is apparently popular among female customers.
