The solid glass floor-to-ceiling windows of this bar and lounge, 215 metres above the ground, give spectacular views of the cityscape and Tokyo Tower. Bar & Lounge Majestic is part of the Fish Bank Tokyo restaurant, and the seafood options on the food menu are surprisingly good value, considering the location. If you can get there before 7pm, the 'Majestic Sunset Plan' offers two hours of free-flowing drinks for ¥3,000 a head – perfect if you're looking to impress a date on a tight budget. (Just make sure you book well in advance to secure a table by the window.) At other times, glasses of wine start at ¥1,000 and cocktails at ¥1,300, though with a ¥1,580 cover charge and additional 10% service fee, it's far from cheap.

Get in there before 7pm and it's all-you-can-drink for the next two hours. 3,000 yen, no cover charge, though food costs extra.
I'm a little confused... If I enter by 7pm, I get 2 hours "all you can drink" on the Majestic Sunset Plan menu for 3,000 JPY? Is there an additional cover charge as well?
Visited tonight (05/03/2012), no cover charge. Provided you enter between 5:30 and 19:00 you pay a flat rate of 3,000 (plus tax, so call it 3,500 to be safe). The cocktail menu included beer base, sparkling base, wine base (white and red). Food was extra, but not necessary unless you wanted to order it. The view was exceptional, and a fantastic member of staff who was a native English speaker was on hand to help with both reservation, and also ensuring a window seat (ask for Leon!). I would rate this as one of the best experiences I've had in Tokyo and really can not recommend it enough! I had very high hopes, and am glad to say that Majestic far exceeded them!
Disappointed to hear that. We've amended the review to include information about the cover charge, as that sounds like a bit of a deal-breaker.
We visited the Majestic a couple of days ago on the strength of this recommendation (and we were staying nearby). Since this review was published the bar has introduced a cover charge (1580 yen per head), which we only found out once we'd sat down and asked for the menu. The bar list is disappointingly short (it has about half a dozen cocktails/long drinks and the rest is shots) and the (also very short) food menu is only in Japanese, with no one on hand to explain the choices, although our waiter did make an effort. The G&T came with more ice than G&T and there was no lime or lemon (this came separately after I requested it). I don't mind so much paying through the nose for a great drink (and the views are admittedly superb) but I will admit I was disappointed overall. Our bill - for 3 drinks and a snack (paté with 6 stale breadsticks) and two cover charges - came to 8500 yen. Make of that what you will.
