Review

A ‘meditation gallery’ created in the precincts of the Chououin temple of the Jodoshu sect in Kuramae. The gallery aims to provide a link between Buddhism, art and modernity among artists and viewers. Priest Akiyoshi Taniguchi once aspired to be a photographer, and the gallery hosts photo exhibitions two to three times a year. Ku Ren Boh is open 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Friday only, and admission is by appointment only by e-mail. The gallery only accommodates two viewers at a time due to its extremely limited space.
