5 to try: Omelette sandwiches

On the outskirts of Ginza and close to Tsukij, Renga is a café with a great, old-fashioned Showa era feeling to it. Their omelette sandwich is a modest one, made with a fluffy eggy and cucumber filling, placed between two slices of toast, and it's this simplicity which makes it so delicious. The dimly lit, retro interior is filled with wine-red sofas and chairs — wonderfully cosy.
