After spending much of 2011 and 2012 on a joint headlining tour with NKOTB, this grown-up boy band are marking their 20th anniversary – and with their original lineup, after welcoming prodigal son Kevin Richardson back into the fold last year. You need only look at the acres of space devoted to Backstreet Boys songs in the average karaoke catalogue to realise how successful the US pop five-piece have been in Japan, where they've sold over 7 million records. They head here for a ten-date arena tour in October, the sheer largesse of which proves that those One Direction upstarts still have a way to go.
