Modern Jazz Discotheque

Sun Apr 28, 2013 Shinjuku Pit Inn

Time Out says

Saxman and DCPRG leader Naruyoshi Kikuchi will be leaving the horn at home and flexing his DJ chops instead at Pit Inn, in a late-night session that harks back to the days when jazz featured heavily in the Billboard charts. The Modern Jazz Discotheque also features DJ sets by Gen Ogimi, the percussionist leader of Salsa Swingoza, plus live Cuban grooves from Septeto Bunga Tropis, a new-ish group featuring members of DCPRG. Continues until 4am.
