Time Out says

That great artist of the fantastic, Odilon Redon bucked the trends of late-19th century Impressionism in favour of exploring the realm of the interior. Drawing on the collections of the Musee des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux and Museum of Fine Arts, Gifu, this exhibition traces the influential symbolist's career back to his youth in Bordeaux, then examines how his early interest in both fantasy and natural science influenced his later noirs and couleurs.
