The closing event for this year's Old Town Taito International Comedy Film Festival celebrates one of Japan's classic comedy groups (and perhaps the only one who started life as a guitar band), The Drifters. It seems that Chosuke Ikariya's Monty Python-esque troupe still has a lot of fans: the lineup for this outdoor concert includes such notable acts as punk-swing-klezmer ensemble Asakusa Jinta, Stones-esque combo Okamoto's and veteran Hokkaido rockers Dohatsuten.
