Bo Ningen aren't the only all-Japanese band to have sprung out of London: that's where Day and Buffalo started life in 2007, though bassist/vocalist Tatsuki Mori took the name with him when he moved back to Tokyo a couple of years later. Now essentially a solo project, Day and Buffalo have flirted with everything from dub rock to Tropicalia-inflected indie pop, bolstered by some pretty excellent videos. Remind us: why aren't this lot better known? Their latest Tokyo gig is a humdinger, with support from skronky no wavers Miila and the Geeks and Kiwi indie songsmith Grayson Gilmour, of So So Modern.
