There's some tortuous logic underpinning this one-day indie event. Recognising that the increase in outdoor music festivals is hurting conventional gig venues, the organisers of Muro Festival are attempting to put the focus back on the 'live house' scene... by throwing an outdoor music fest with typically 'live house' bands. Huh? At the very least, it promises to offer a heap of acts you won't see at this year's Rock in Japan, among them Uplift Spice, Arukara and Dirty Old Men (whose name, alas, is far more interesting than the band themselves). See below for the complete lineup.
