Eternal Feminine Beauty Reflected in European Paintings

Sat Mar 17 - Sun May 27, 2012 New Otani Museum

Time Out says

The New Otani raids the collection of Yamagata Prefecture's Yamadera Goto Museum of Art for its latest show, the title of which tells you just about everything you need to know. There'll be 35 paintings on display, spanning the period from the 17th to 19th centuries (and, confusingly, including a few still life works that have precious little to do with 'feminine beauty', eternal or otherwise). John Watson Gordon, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo and Jean-Baptiste Huet are among the artists represented.
