During the flurry of fundraising parties held after March 11 last year, there was a lot of talk about sending good vibes to Tohoku, as if people enjoying themselves in Tokyo would somehow make life a little less grim up north. Miss Kittin, singing DJ and electroclash survivor, is taking a rather more pragmatic approach with her latest Tokyo party: she'll be selling exclusive merchandise on the night, proceeds from which will help fund a free party that's being planned in Tohoku itself. That's more like it.
