Now even more sprawling than ever, the latest Art Fair Tokyo will be taking over the entire exhibition hall at Tokyo International Forum. With over 160 galleries due to participate, it's an excellent (if perhaps overwhelming) introduction to the Japanese contemporary art scene, though there will also be displays by leading galleries from Beijing, Seoul and Taipei, as part of a new 'Discover Asia' section overseen by Mori Art Museum director Fumio Najio. Art historian Yuji Yamashita's era-spanning 'Shuffle' exhibition – which was held off-site at Shirokane Art Complex last year – is being incorporated into the main fair this year, and we've been told to expect collaborations with the worlds of fashion and food, too.
