Orphans and Heroes Musical Benefit

Sun Sep 11, 2011 SuperDeluxe

Time Out says

Fans of defunct mixed martial arts tournament Pride might remember Lenne Hardt as the permanently crazed announcer with a penchant for rolling her r's. She'll be showing her charitable side this weekend, as she hosts a musical gala at SuperDeluxe in support of people still struggling in the aftermath of the March 11 quake and tsunami. Hardt herself will be appearing with her Jazz Cabaret Band, alongside a lengthy roster of performers ranging from Iwaki hip-hopper Daiki Tamura to stand-up comedian Kevin Cooney to a children's choir from Sendai. They'll be drumming up some extra cash by holding a raffle and silent auction, while a slide show of pictures from Tohoku by photojouranlist Taro Irie will remind people what they're really there for.
