Held annually since 1967, the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition is part of the city's Children's Book Fair and one of the world's top showcases for the genre. For those who couldn't make it to Italy for this year's edition, the Itabashi Art Museum now displays the work of 76 winning artists – including ten Japanese contributors – representing the very best of around 3,000 total submissions. There's also a special section dedicated to up-and-coming Portuguese illustrator Catarina Sobral, who won the prestigious International Award for Illustration at last year's Bologna fair.
